Simple steps to make your tattoo experience better
Aftercare process is really important part of tattoo healing. 50% of how well your tattoo will look after healing depends on this.
I kindly ask you to follow these simple rules:
You need to keep second skin (transparent plastic on your skin) 4 days after session. We don’t count day of the session. For example: if we do tattoo at 1 May than you need remove second skin 5 May before you go to sleep.
You can go to the shower, it’s waterproof. But don’t do the bath or long hot shower, just quick warm shower.
Don’t do the sport or some activities 5 days after session. It’s because sweat is really bad for fresh tattoo.
Don’t drink alcohol or a strong black coffee 2 days. Because when you drink it, your blood pressure getting higher and ink come out more than normal, so some thin lines can fade away in some parts.
On a second day after session maybe you can see small drops under the second skin. It’s a lymph and surplus of ink. It’s a normal, don’t worry about it.
Please don’t scratching your tattoo, don’t try to pierce second skin.
After removing second skin wash gently your tattoo with warm water and normal soap.
You can remove some parts of glue on your skin with something oily (olive oil, coconut oil and etc.)
After removing second skin you can see that some parts of lines looks darker than others. And seems like some parts of lines faded. So, this “black bright” parts of lines is a crust of lymph and ink on the surface of your skin. It’s normal, don’t try to remove it. It will peel off on its own. Other parts looks more light because thats how ink looks under the first layer of skin. Tattoo will always look lighter than on a first day. It’s also normal, because ink is on the second layer of your skin. And first layer like a natural color filter for ink.
After you remove a second skin, you need to use any cream for hydration your tattoo (cream that you have for body, hands or face, lotion, bepanthen is also very good) 3-4 times per day one week. It’s really important part for healing process.
You can’t go to sauna or bath one month after session.
If you decide to take a sunbath or go to solarium during one month after session, please cover your tattoo. And after one month use sun protection cream 50 SPF minimum for this.
Tattoo will healing on all of skin layers after 1-2 month. After this time you can see how your tattoo will looks until rest of your life.
